WHY: From 2000 - 2015, 118 fire fatalities have occurred in dormitories, fraternities, sororities and off-campus housing. Fire sprinklers were not present in any of these campus related fires. The Salisbury State University is using this extremely important event to help students understand how dangerous a fire is, and how important prevention, detection, suppression and escape truly are.
